The NewBridge Project est. 2010 is an artist-led space that supports artists, curators and communities through the provision of space for creative practice, curatorial opportunities and an ambitious artist-led programme of exhibitions, commissions, artist development and events.

Visit The NewBridge Project’s art space at the Shieldfield Centre and explore their artists' bookshop, gallery and project space. Visit Home School, a space transforming the gallery into a Home, to share ideas and experiences together and experience an intimate music performance, with a special House Concert taking place in the living room.
Houseguests are invited to make artworks drawing on their own ideas and experiences of home. Drop into their in-house studios including the Print Workshop and Shieldfield Ceramics Studio and produce Homeware (furnishings for the home) to add to the exhibition.
First year Fine Art students from Newcastle University will also be exhibiting work in the Project Space. The culmination of a year’s work the exhibition will include painting, sculpture, installation, video, performance, print, sound. You’ll be able to experience the full range of contemporary art practice from the new, emerging generation of artists.
