High Bridge Works - Home to pioneering artists, inventors & entrepreneurs since 1767. Newcastle Contemporary Art (NCA) is a creative programme of exhibitions and events curated and managed by High Bridge CIC. Established in 2021, NCA is centred around a hub of studios for artists and creative businesses. Through the operation of the venue’s fourth floor gallery they aim to engage with members of their immediate and wider community through exhibitions and events and advocate openness and inclusion with the aim of tackling inequalities in the region.

Check out the ‘How We Live Now’ exhibition of work from the ground-breaking Matrix Feminist Design Co-operative, hosted in collaboration with the Farrell Centre and Newcastle University. The exhibition includes archival material from Matrix alongside a selection of projects happening now in the region that build upon the legacy of their work exploring questions around gender, equality and discrimination in the built environment.
There will also be live music and a licenced bar till late.
Open Studios
