39. Event at Newcastle Castle

14th May Saturday Only

Open: 7-11pm, outdoor walking tours at 7, 8, 9 and 10pm

Find out about the fortress that gave Newcastle its name. Two areas of the Castle Keep will be open to the public: the Great Hall, and the rooftop, where you will be able to experience incredible views of the city at dusk. In the Great Hall, the Bridge Folk Club – a group that has been meeting at the adjacent Bridge Hotel for over fifty years – will be presenting rip-roaring interpretations of classic Geordie folk songs. Stomp your feet and join us for a sing-along in the Castle; no booking required. Outdoor guided walks around the Castle precinct will also be taking place, led by Iles Tours. BOOK VIA http://newcastlecastle.co.uk/late-shows. These 25-minute tours will set off every hour on the hour (7 till 10pm) from the Black Gate guard rooms, beneath the archway to the medieval gatehouse. Limited uncollected tickets for these tours may be available on the night, subject to availability.

**Outdoor guided tours are now fully booked but a waitlist is available**
