Rarely in a city are we able to enjoy a star filled sky, often obscured by the city lights. During this year’s Late Shows, Jim Edwards will be revealing the hidden cosmos in a series of new Nightscape paintings, inspired by the constellations. His 59 Lime Street Studio Gallery will be adorned with painted and sculpted stars, each portraying the cosmos in a new light. The constellations, much like Jim's paintings, draw upon imagined lines, connecting landmarks, helping to make sense of the universe. Jim will also be running an art competition, on the run up to The Late Shows. The theme of the exhibition will be Landmarks, and will be open to children of all ages to drop work off at 59 Lime Street, up until 14 May. An exhibition of the artwork will run from 21-27 May, with several prizes going to Jim’s favourite pieces, including a framed limited edition print.
