The oldest and largest studio group in the North East. 36 Lime Street studios are situated in the heart of Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley to the east of the city centre. Formerly a flax mill, the building is now home to over 50 artists, makers and designers across five floors.

Explore a selection of artists’ and makers’ studios across five floors of 36 Lime Street and enjoy taster sessions and demonstrations as you wander round this extraordinary warehouse designed by John Dobson. There will also be an exciting exhibition in the entrance gallery - ‘36 x 36’, a selection of works by the studio artists, using a wide variety of materials, all 36 x 36 cm in size. Plus, pianist Steve Luck launches his new EP by playing a selection of songs in pitch darkness to give the listener a unique experience - performances every half hour from 7.30pm.
